A little background about myself – I graduated from Illinois State University and loved every second of my collegiate experience. I was a member of the Gamma Phi Beta sorority and majored in Apparel Merchandising and Design. As a first generation college graduate in my family, I believe I made the most of my experience and looking back, I wouldn’t change a thing.
What I didn’t realize was the camaraderie and networking opportunities a Big10 school offers. It wasn’t until I met my husband, who went to UW Madison, that I realized the magnitude of what the school offered students pre and post graduation. Through him, I became a part of this amazing network as well. I am always shocked to learn how many Wisconsin fans there are across the U.S. in general. I can’t even tell you how many times my husband and I have been acknowledged by strangers if we are reppin’ Badger gear.
Obviously, I married into the Wisco family, but now my youngest brother is about to start his sophomore year at UW Madison! Clearly – this makes me a Badger by default. 🙂
Because I’m literally 14 years behind (omg – I am so old) on buying and reppin’ Badger gear, I’m still building up my game day wardrobe. When I’m in Madison, I love to go to the stores on State Street as well as the Campus Bookstore. I usually find one or two awesome pieces each football season. But I’m LOVING Victoria’s Secret Collegiate Collection this year. Here are my top three picks!
