We bought a house!!! Chris and I spent months and months searching for the perfect home in Chicago and just when we decided to stop looking, this house popped up on the market that piqued my curiosity. I’m not even kidding, I had to BEG Chris to go see it with me. It seemed like all the houses that I had that same gut feeling with would fly off the market.
As soon as we pulled up, I knew it was most likely the one. I’m decisive like that. 😉 As soon as we walked in, it was game over. Chris and I were in love with the home and put in an offer. We were thrilled when we learned it was accepted!
Our place in Lincoln Park will forever hold a special place in our hearts, but we couldn’t be more excited to start this new chapter in Lakeview. Although, my husband is having a slight internal meltdown over letting our current condo go. He WILL get through it. Haha. (I hope!)
The agent we selected was my childhood neighbor, Stefanie Campbell. Going into the process I was a little nervous working with a friend, but I felt a level of trust that I didn’t seem to have when talking to other agents. She was an absolute gem to work with. Stefanie’s upbeat and lighthearted personality truly made our experience the best it could be. She wasn’t pushy at all and utilized her extensive real estate network to answer every single question we had within minutes. I swear she should also add therapist to her credentials. She even gave me a shoulder to cry on more than once! If you are looking for an agent, I cannot recommend Stefanie high enough. She is the BEST.
I’m guessing it will take us a very long time to furnish our new home, but I am hoping to share our interior design details down the line. In the meantime, I’ve been sharing our move on Instastories (@sipsandsequins) if you’d like to keep up!
Any and all moving tips are welcome. Please leave them in the comments below! 🙂

Congratulations guys. Looks amazing!!!
Thank you! We are really excited.
We wanted to move in to our new place right away, so we scheduled our move three days after closing. We packed up little things and made numerous car trips from our condo to the new house. Plus, Aaron wanted to be the one who moved all of his computer equipment. We left the furniture and heavier items to Golan’s Moving. They did an awesome job given the circumstances. It rained all throughout the move and they were soaking wet by the time the move was done.
Oh wow! Yes. We are doing a two part move as well. Leaving all our furniture here for staging purposes!
YAY! Can’t wait for all the fun memories we will create in your new home. Just love it!
Same!! So excited for the future! 😘
So Excited for you, Chris & Riley…..new memories in the making. LOVE you guys. Congratulations again.
Thank you so much, Jan! Love you too!
