Last Saturday, I had the opportunity to check out the first ever event at The Park at Wrigley! If you haven’t heard of The Park at Wrigley, it is basically a little park that was built right in front of Wrigley Field to the left of the famous marquee.
The event was called Craft & Cuisine. As I’m sure you can put together, the event featured several different food and beverage vendors and even had live cooking demonstrations. With over 40 beer and wine selections and tastings from some of Chicago’s best restaurants, the night was surely one to remember. My personal favorites were Girl and the Goat’s booth as well as Honey Butter Fried Chicken. Holy yum. Whoever thought of dipping fried chicken into honey butter is a genius.
The Park at Wrigley is such a cool concept. It is open to all game day ticket holders two hours prior to the game. The park itself is completed, but the area surrounding it is still up and coming. By 2018, it’s going to be sick. There is a brand new Starbucks, several restaurants are coming (Big Star, Smoke Daddy, West Town Bakery, Brickhouse at the Park, etc.), a hotel is in the process of being built, and special events are already on the calendar at The Park!
A few events I’m personally excited about are Music Box Theater Movies at the Park and Green City Market at The Park! Bonus: these events are free to attend!
MUSIC BOX THEATRE MOVIES AT THE PARK
I’m pretty sure they couldn’t have selected better movies if they tried….
June 14: Ferris Bueller’s Day Off
June 28: The Jungle Book
July 12: Rookie of the Year
July 26: Ghostbusters
August 9: The Sandlot
August 23: The Blues Brothers
GREEN CITY MARKET AT THE PARK PRESENTED BY CRATE AND BARREL
Green City Market is the best farmers market in Chicago. It’s so awesome they are bringing it to Wrigley!

I don’t know about you, but I’m super excited about The Park. Have you checked it out yet? If you have, what did you think?! Let me know in the comments below.
